5/3/07 New Chassis for Serial Button Box! See below...
This interface was designed to synchronize a laptop running E-Prime software, Cedrus' Lumina response box controller, and the university's MRI machine. To ensure accurate data collection, the researcher needed to know exactly when the MRI machine captured each of it's images. This interface converts MRI timing pulses into a signal which can be used by the Lumina's 'trigger' input.
The project enclosure is made of heavy duty, diecast alluminum to ensure proper RF shielding. Canare coax cable and connectors were chosen for their superior noise rejection and signal transmisison characteristics.
