Tape Transport Control

Computer-based audio recording systems have become extremely popular and affordable. A single computer can often take the place of many racks of traditional outboard processing equipment. Popular recording and editing programs contain keyboard shortcuts which allow repetitive tasks such as cutting, pasting & grouping of audio tracks to be performed quckly and efficiently.

This Tape Transport Controller allows the recording engineer access to several frequently-used shortcuts on large, easy to grab and press pushbuttons. In this case, the Controller connects to the computer via a 10' USB cable, and peacefully co-exists with the standard QWERTY keyboard. Either can be used at any time.

The advantages of such a system are obvious. The engineer is free to roam around the studio during creative recording process, but still has access to the regular keyboard for detailed editing.

Each of the 8 buttons on this Controller can be programmed to match any key on a standard QWERTY keyboard. Both the buttons and enclosure are industrial quality and extremely durable. The enclosure has 4 rubber feet to protect the user's work surface.
